The Yamagoe (山越え), known as the Hill Climb in English broadcasts, is an obstacle introduced in SASUKE 12's First Stage as the first obstacle, replacing the Godantobi. The function of this obstacle is that first, competitors need to get a running start and climb over the top of the hill. Then, on the descending portion of it, the competitor must jump to the next hill. The competitor must then repeat the process and land on the platform at the other side. A relatively easy obstacle, it only lasted one competition and was removed in SASUKE 13 and replaced by the harder Prism See-Saw. The Sosoritatsu Kabe, an obstacle from the first four tournaments, was also called the Hill Climb in the English Broadcast.
