The Sosoritatsu Kabe (そそり立つ壁), called as the Hill Climb on Ninja Warrior, (or as the Wicked Wall during the broadcast of SASUKE 1) was a First Stage obstacle of the first four SASUKE tournaments, which debuted as the fourth obstacle.

It was a hill on a 60° incline, (50° in SASUKE 1) 4.05 meters long. The competitor had to simply reach the top, with touching the sides does not result in disqualification.

On SASUKE 3, due to the debut of the Rolling Maruta and the Yureru Hashi changed its position from the fifth position to the third position, the Sosoritatsu Kabe was moved to the fifth position.

The only known competitor to fail at the obstacle was Murakawa Masano in SASUKE 3. After Akiyama Kazuhiko's kanzenseiha in SASUKE 4, this obstacle was replaced with the much more familiar Soritatsu Kabe.

The Yamagoe (an obstacle in SASUKE 12), was also called as the Hill Climb in English broadcasts.

A similar version appeared in the Second Stage of KUNOICHI 3 and 5, and didn't eliminate any competitor. It was known in another name as the Chou Touhan (which also called as the Hill Climb during the broadcast of Women of Ninja Warrior).
