In qualifying, he put up a great preformance as he coasted through the first four obstacles with little issue. Despite brief struggles with momentum on the Pipe Slider, and a miss on the Warped Wall due to rushing, he cleared the course in 51.5 seconds.
In the tournament, he performed fairly well. He was shown to have made it all the way to the Tarzan Rope with little time left and timed out before he could attempt the obstacle.
He also earned a spot in SASUKE 26 via American Ninja Warrior 2. During the tournament, he once again cleared most of the obstacles. Despite going quicker on the obstacles, Daniels was still not able to complete the entire stage, timing out near the top of the Rope Ladder.
After his impressive showings in the first two American Ninja Warrior tournaments, Daniels returned for American Ninja Warrior 3. However, he shockingly failed the first obstacle of the qualifying round, the Godantobi.
In American Ninja Warrior 4, Shane used a different approach at the Godantobi and defeated it. He also cleared the rest of the course quickly, hitting the buzzer with a time of 54.18 seconds. In the finals, Shane made quick work of the first six obstacles yet again, but slipped off the Salmon Ladder and was eliminated.
He returned for ANW5 and competed in Venice. In the Qualifying Round he flew the the course and ended up with the 2nd fastest time. In the Semi Finals his run was cut and it is unknown where he failed. But on one of Evan Dollards Well Trained Warrior Episodes on Youtube, where he gave tips on the Cliff Hanger, in one of the clips it shows shane attempting the cliff hanger in the Semi Finals, but didn't move on to Vegas. It is still unknown if he cleared or failed the obstacle.
