Those who survive the First Marine Stage and who are not eliminated in the Brain Ship Stage advance to the Second Adventure Stage. For most of the show's run, it consisted of six timed obstacles and one untimed obstacle, the Heartbreaker; for the final tournament, the Heartbreaker was removed and relocated to the end of Final Viking.
In the first tournament, everyone was eliminated by the Second Adventure Stage. In fact, only three people have ever cleared the Second Adventure Stage: Nagano Makoto, Minamide Kimihiro, and Maeda Sho. The latter two did not have to complete the Heartbreaker.
