The Rolling Pin is a new obstacle which debuted on American Ninja Warrior 9 as the second obstacle of the Daytona Qualifying Round. Competitors must hold on to two red cylinders (which are similar to the Battering Ram) which are placed to a bar, linked by a chain and connected to a ring on each side which goes down a track and must hold on to the landing platform to advance. The two tracks are uneven with different notches which makes the cylinders harder to hang onto.
The Rolling Pin was moderately difficult, with many being knocked off from the uneven jolts on the bar rail. In qualifying, 25 competitors failed the obstacle. However, only Adriane Alvord failed it in the city finals.
