Nirenbou (二連棒) called Super Vault in English Broadcast, was the first obstacle of stage three for two KUNOICHI tournaments. Competitors had to grab a hold of a pole that was 3.4 meters long, and cross a pit of water roughly one meter to a safety platform. Competitors then had to grab another pole, this one 3.5 meters, and cross another one meter pit of water, and land on a safety platform roughly one meter high. Similar in function to SASUKE's Pole Jump, this version turned out to be much less lethal, mainly due to the height of the poles. In addition, the gaps weren't nearly as large as those in SASUKE. It only retired two people, (although one of which was former stuntwoman Nishimura Chie, who is the only women to clear SASUKE's First Stage), both of which made a minor but fatal mistake on the second part of the obstacle. It was replaced in the KUNOICHI 5 with the Mujouheki.
