Hasegawa Ken (長谷川 健) entered three SASUKE tournaments. As he worked at a theme park portraying a ninja, he always competed in a ninja costume. Like Kobayashi Masaaki, he was known for his consistency in his short stint on SASUKE. He cleared the second stage with only one tenth of a second remaining. His record was tied with James Okada in SASUKE 7 but their records were crushed by Ishikawa Terukazu with six hundreths (0.06) of a second in SASUKE 27. He reached the Final Stage in the SASUKE 1, but failed the new Pipe Slider -- which had replaced the Hariyama as Stage Three's last obstacle -- the next two times and retired from competition. He is the only competitor to compete 3 times without failing either stage 1 or stage 2.
Today, he still works at the same theme park, Edo Wonderland (日光江戸村), in Nikko, Japan; he's worked there for nearly 20 years.
