Harashima Masami (原島 雅美) is a SASUKE regular and hang gliding enthusiast; he always brings his hang glider with him to the starting line. He works for a pen manufacturer and he often sells sushi in his van. Despite being a fan favorite, he has never gotten very far into the First Stage, usually going out on the first obstacle. He, Aoki Yasuo, and Kuramochi Minoru usually have consecutive starting positions.
On some Ninja Warrior episodes, his name is mistranslated as "Masami Harajima." He is also referred to as a "hand glider" at times.

- According to the official SASUKE 21 competitor list, Harashima had competed 12 times up to that point. However, one of his runs was all cut.
