Grant Clinton is a Bank Manager from Houston, Texas who first competed in American Ninja Warrior 8. Clinton had perhaps one of the greatest life comebacks in ANW history, with him almost dying from a stroke nearly six months before his season began.

American Ninja Warrior 8[]

Grant first competed in Oklahoma City in American Ninja Warrior 8, where in qualifying, he made it all the way to the Tire Swing and placed 29th. In the city finals, Grant impressed many when he completed the Tire Swing, and even jumping up five rungs on the Salmon Ladder rather than four. He was one of only two athletes (the other being Daniel Gil) to finish the Oklahoma City city finals course, as well as the only competitor on that season to hit a buzzer in the city finals despite failing to do so in qualifying. Overall, Clinton placed 2nd. However, in the national finals, he became one of many to fall on the first obstacle, Snake Run, an obstacle which also took out major veterans like Travis Rosen and Geoff Britten.

American Ninja Warrior 9[]

Grant Clinton returned in American Ninja Warrior 9, competing in San Antonio. This time, he completed the qualifying course and placed 8th. In the city finals, Grant was one of the many to fall on the Hourglass Drop. Despite this, he still qualified for the national finals in 11th place. In Vegas, Clinton got revenge on Snake Run and eventually completed Stage One with 6.48 seconds left. His run on Stage Two was digested but it was shown that he failed Wingnut Alley.
