ANW7 Wind Chimes

American Ninja Warrior 7's Wind Chimes in Pittsburgh

The Wind Chimes is an obstacle, firstly introduced as the fourth obstacle on American Ninja Warrior 7 in Pittsburgh.

Competitors must go across eight suspended chimes in total, and would first have to hold onto one chime via either wrapping their legs around it, or via pressing both feet against it, then would have to use an impluse to transfer from one chime to the next chime. They would then repeat that process until they can dismount properly to the landing platform. The obstacle also had a gap in between two chimes, with a larger 4-foot gap between the fourth and fifth chime, and between the seventh and eighth chime, there was also a 3-foot gap from the last chime to the platform. Also, the chimes would decrease in length as competitors cross from one chime to the other.

Ninja Israel 3's Wind Chimes

On Ninja Warrior Israel 3, the Wind Chimes, literally translated פעמוני הרוח appeared as the second obstacle in the Final's Stage One. However, the number of chimes was increased to nine, with a long bungee cord placed after the final chime. Despite that, the obstacle was extremely easy, as all 29 competitors attempted and cleared it.

Trivia[]

  • The Wind Chimes shared similar qualities to the following obstacles:
    • Sidewinder R: The obstacle also consisted of thicker, pole-like elements, and competitors could also hold onto one element via wrapping their legs around it, similar to the Sidewinder R.
    • Pole Grasper/Floating Boards: The method to use a specific impluse to transfer from one element to the next element and the fact that competitors also could press both feet against one element to hold onto it made it similar to those two obstacles as well.
    • Bungee Road: The Wind Chimes in Ninja Warrior Israel 3 featured a long bungee cord placed after the final chime.
