The Balance Bridge (not to be confused with the Balance Bridge from SASUKE 11, the Yureru Hashi, which was called as the Balance Bridge during the broadcast of Ninja Warrior, or the Fuandou, which was called as the Balance Bridge during the broadcast of Women of Ninja Warrior) is an obstacle, firstly introduced as the third obstacle on American Ninja Warrior 5 in Miami.
This version of the Balance Bridge consisted of two thin cylindrical beams, that were both on a pivot in the middle. Competitors must walk onto the first beam which would tip down, and walked up to the end, where it would tip down too. Then, competitor must across a gap between two beams to the second beam, then walked onto it in a same fashion with the first beam, and finally to the landing platform. Competitors were allowed to use their hands while attempting the obstacle. This obstacle eliminated only a handful of competitors, either on the transition to the second beam or to the landing platform.
The Balance Bridge appeared as the third obstacle on Ninja Warrior UK, during the semi-finals and finals' Stage 1. Just like on American Ninja Warrior 5, competitors were allowed to use their hands while attempting the obstacle.
On SASUKE Ninja Warrior Indonesia 2017, the Balance Bridge appeared as the third obstacle during Semifinal Stage 1.
However, unlike on American Ninja Warrior 5 and Ninja Warrior UK, the area below the obstacle was filled with the water (rather than safety mats), and competitors were not allowed to use their hands while attempting the obstacle (if they did so, they would be disqualified).
During SASUKE Ninja Warrior Indonesia: International Competition, the obstacle eliminated Dion Trigg from Team Europe, who was the only competitor to fail at Semifinal Stage 1.
