The Atlanta City Finals Round concluded with 4 finishers, more finishers than the maximum number of city finals finishers in American Ninja Warrior 7, beating out last year's Kansas City Finals. Stock trader and ANW veteran Travis Rosen, earned the "POM Wonderful Run of the Night" with a time of 6:52.17, coming in third place. Roomnates James "The Beast" McGrath and Drew Drechsel competed for the fastest times of the night when they came in first and second place, with times of 5:01.62 and 5:05.26. After competing since the premiere season in 2009, Parkour trainer and original ANW veteran Brett Sims made it to his first Las Vegas final with a time of 7:36.45, ending up in 4th place.

The round featured one new obstacle, the Clacker, which proved to be a difficult obstacle for many competitors including Casey Suchoki and Jo Jo Bynum, who both of them still moved on to the ANW8 National Finals in Las Vegas.

Shocking falls include Reko Rivera, Caleb Watson, Kenneth Niemitalo and Lucas Gomes (Alexio Gomes' brother, Alexio Gomes still made it without his brother for the second year in a row).
